Lessons are 30 minutes, delivered during school term time only, a maximum of 6 children per class and cost £42 per month (per child) paid by direct debit. There is no contract you can cancel at any time.

Adult and Baby/Toddler
Weekday daytimes.
Lessons are 30 minutes, delivered during school term time only, a maximum of 5 pairs per class and cost £47 per month (per pair) paid by direct debit. There is no contract you can cancel at any time.

At Best Stoke Leisure, we have five qualified Aqua Therapists based at Eastthorpe Hall Wellness Centre in Mirfield WF14 8AE. This is available to anyone of any age and you do not need the ability to swim.
Aquatic Therapy can be described as “exercise in water”. The exercises carried out in the pool are not the same as on land they are modified to use the benefits of being in water. Each session is tailored to your individual needs based on your condition and current capabilities.
Benefits of exercising in the water include:
- Low Impact on Joints: Buoyancy supports body weight, which reduces stress on joints, bones, and muscles, making it ideal for individuals with arthritis, obesity, or injury rehabilitation.
- Natural Resistance: Water is denser than air, meaning every movement acts as resistance training for muscle strengthening and toning without needing weights.
- Improved Cardiovascular Health: Water workouts strengthen the heart and lungs, improve oxygen consumption, and can be as effective as land-based exercise for reducing cardiovascular disease risk.
- Enhanced Flexibility and Mobility: The buoyancy of water allows for a greater range of motion, helping to increase flexibility and improve mobility in stiff joints.
- Improved Balance and Stability: Exercises like water walking can improve core strength and balance, reducing the risk of falls.
- Safe and Accessible: Water provides a safe environment for exercise that can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels, including those who cannot swim, as many exercises are done in shallow water.
- Reduced Inflammation and Improved Circulation: Hydrostatic pressure from the water helps reduce swelling, inflammation, and improves blood flow.
- Mental Health Boost: The calming effect of water can help reduce stress and improve mood.
We are ready to assist you to improve mobility, range of joint movement, pain & swelling, strength, co-ordination, balance, circulation and assist rehabilitation.
Aqua Therapy sessions will be available from mid-April 2026. These are 30 minute in water appointments (extra time is provided for changing) one on one with a Therapist and cost £40 per session.

PLEASE Read before attending lessons
- All pool users must arrive ‘swim ready’ with costumes under clothing
- Only one parent/carer per swimmer to attend
- Showering is not permitted
- Please dry quickly and leave in clothing easy to put on
- Swim caps are encouraged and can be purchased for £4 at the lesson.
- Please move around considerately our venues are either family homes, working spas or residential homes
- Parent & child classes- please bring your own changing mat and dispose of all nappy waste at home.
- Please do not use talc or eat at our venues
- All outdoor shoes must be removed on entry
- No smoking/vaping on any premises
- No Photography & videography during lessons, please ask the teacher if you wish to
- Children remain in the same day/time class during their time with us unless they are progressing at a considerably faster rate than the rest of the class, in which case we will contact you.
- We do not use certificates, progress can be found in the online system
